The possibilities are enormous. For example, we can observe the heartbeat through the fontanelle, which may be sunken or swollen. The students can also practice taking blood without leaving annoying prick holes. The robot baby makes lifelike sounds: crying, moaning, hiccuping, coughing, breathing. The possibilities are unlimited because one can easily add sounds. But the most important thing is of course that the students can learn to resuscitate in a realistic way and receive feedback
I approached Medical-X for their program called COMMAND-X . I am a student nurse myself, and my classmates and I were searching for a program that could simulate a patient monitor in order to expand and test our knowledge. Covid-19 made us as students very active in hospital/clinical care. So we wanted to ensure that our knowledge and skills remained at the right level. Command-X made that possible. Do I recommend it? Definitely! Especially to medical students!
The customer support from Medical-X is exceptional. They've been incredibly helpful in implementing the simulators into our curriculum.
The NENASim proves to be a very useful tool for ASL, BLS and CPR training, as well as for scenario training. We make extensive use of the NENASim for various training courses, during which we also use the evaluation log and assessment possibilities that are provided in the NENASim software. Training with the NENASim is the closest you can get to training with a real baby
